Welcome to the home page for the Carnegie Mellon University student branch of Material Advantage,
the student program for Materials Science Engineering. Click on the links to the side to check out the latest
news.
Our organization encompasses the student chapters of the American Ceramic Society (ACerS),
ASM International, AIST, and TMS.
There are many reasons for students to join Material Advantage. Some of the many benefits include
access to tons of members-only scholarships, monthly magazines, discounted prices on conference
and meeting tickets, and networking opportunities.
Fill out a form and pay the yearly $25 dues. You can either
1. pick up a form from one of our officers or at our meetings and return the completed form and payment
2. fill out the membership form online
Applications submitted Jan. - Aug. will cover membership for the remainder of the calendar year.
Applications submitted Sept. - Jan. will cover membership for the remainder of the calendar year and the
following year as well. (Magazine subscriptions will start at the beginning of the following year.)
